Born in 1952, in Hall’s Harbour, Nova Scotia, John Neville received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in 1976. He spent his final year at University studying at the Centre de Gravure Contemporaries in Geneva, Switzerland. A unique graphical sense distinguishes his paintings, which express a deep understanding of maritime life.
Neville’s artwork resides in numerous private and institutional collections. Among numerous awards, he is an honorary life member of Visual Arts Nova Scotia.
